Ethnographic Park of Sanok of the most beautiful open-air museums in Europe (picturesque location on the right bank at the foot of the San Sanocko-Turczańskie quite faithfully reflects the physiography Podkarpacie).

In terms of the number of objects is the largest open-air museum in Poland.

In the area 38 ha presents a culture of Polish-Ukrainian border in the eastern part of Polish Carpathians (Bieszczady Mountains, Low Beskid) with PODKARPACIE. Individual groups ethnographic (Boykos, Lemko, Foothills and valley) Commercial sectors have separate superbly adapted to the terrain physiography.
Recreating a typical rural building systems and land use pens at the Museum collected more than 100 wooden buildings dating from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, where next to residential buildings, residential-economic and economic, in the Park are also religious buildings (Seventeenth-century church, two eighteenth-century churches Boyko, Lemko church was one of the early nineteenth in. and several picturesque chapels), public buildings (village school, Zajazd) and industrial facilities (Watermill, windmills, forges). Both the temples and the majority of residential and business, have fully furnished and open to the public interior (m.in. workshops: Weaving, garncarza, Wheeler, manufacturer of wooden spoons, wicker baskets, etc.).
The Ethnographic Park decorated wonderful permanent exhibition of icon painting titled. Ikona karpacka, which were presented over 220 icon (od XV twentieth w.), showing the full development of this type of painting are Polish Carpathians.
Complementing the exhibition activities organized temporary exhibitions from the collection of (the exhibitions and magazines is in fact close 30.000 exhibits focusing monuments of folk culture, Carpathian culture of the inhabitants of cities and towns, including a large collection of icons, chromolithographs, judaików, clocks, copper vessels, ceramics, rugs and other objects in the field of art and crafts).
Museum has significant publishing activities ? regularly appear in Materials Folk Architecture Museum in Sanok (year of a regional ethnography devoted Podkarpacie) and the scientific journal Acta Scansenologica (dealing with problems skansenowskich museums in Poland and in the world).
