Church of St.. Michael and former monastery of the Benedictine Sisters erected in the XVII century.
Benedictine Sandomierz were brought by the crown marshal the great Elizabeth Sieniawska in 1613r. The first wooden monastery was burned. The construction of the new brick buildings began in 1627r. The work conducted Sieniawska daughter Zofia founder, abbess of the convent of Sandomierz. The church was built in the period 1682-1692r. design by Michael Cable, the foundation ordinate Marcin Zamoyski. Church of St.. Michael is a nave covered with a barrel vault – Cross
Equipment church: pulpit in the form of a genealogical tree of the Benedictine Order, which grows out of the characters lying St.. Benedict – by Matthew Rozkwitowicza in the XVII century., from the same period the two side altars and choir stalls in the chancel and benches made in the workshop of Martin Black. Before the church is not a large garden next to the house are situated chaplain, belfry, kazalnica, and to the west building of the former convent gate. From the west, also adjacent to the church buildings of the old monastery.
Prior to listed buildings, next to ul. Żeromski, on tall poles are statues of St.. Benedict and his sister St.. Scholastyki, and on the other side of the street. figura św. Rock (under the metal canopy).
The present complex of buildings is an excellent example of Baroque art.
