According to the Roman method of building cities city axis formed two streets: cardo – running from north to south and decumenus – running from east to west. At the intersection of these streets were forum, ie the urban market.
Forum Pula is not the most famous place in Pula, because most people associate the pool from the Roman amphitheater, famous Arena, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world.
Forum Pula is typical of towns like Pula architecture. One of the buildings located there is the building of the Venetian governor, as well as the remains of a Roman temple.
najbardziej znanym obiektem w Puli jest dobrze zachowany amfiteatr zwany areną, na którym w starożytności odbywały się walki gladiatorów. Niestety z amfiteatru pozostał właściwie tylko wieniec zewnętrznych ścian, wiele ścian tworzących korytarze okalające widownię zostało rozebranych i w części wywiezione do Wenecji, która sprawowała protektorat nad Pulą. Mimo to Arena uchodzi za jeden z najlepiej zachowanych amfiteatrów rzymskich na świecie.
