Cemetery tour Rossa, Wilno / Vilnius

Date of execution: 2014-07-29.

Rossa Cemetery is one of the mandatory points in the Polish tour visiting Vilnius. At the cemetery tours traditionally stop at the tomb, in which lies the heart of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski at the foot of the coffin with the remains of his Mother, Marii z Billewiczów Piłsudskiej. On a straight line with the inscription: MATKA I SERCE SYNA, there is not the name of Marshal, nor his mother, ale każdy Polak przybywający na Rossę wie, kto w tym miejscu jest pochowany.
Grób matki marszałka Piłsudskiego znajduje się w centrum cmentarza wojennego na Rossie. Rest on the Polish soldiers were killed in the battles for Vilnius in the years 1919, 1920, 1939, 1944.
Polish names missing on the graves in other parts of the cemetery. Most of these graves from the times, when Vilnius was part of the Second Polish Republic, but there are also tombs from the time of the Russian occupation, that is, before the rebirth of Polish and the formation of the Second Republic, as well as from the time after the end of World War II, that is, from the time of independent Lithuania.
This tour is very small; contains only 3 panorama. A more reasonable choice scenes require a better understanding of the cemetery, and it was not possible during a one-day stay in Vilnius.
