Vistula-Black is a multipurpose reservoir of an equalizing-flood.
Firewall Wisla-Black is the second, by Tresnej, as to the amount of earth dam in Poland. Among other objects of this type, Wisla tank – Black is distinguished by a distinct enough specificity related matters, that deserves special attention.
Body of the dam was made of unusual, very coarse material, for which specific guidelines to be developed to determine the geotechnical parameters and rules for incorporation in the embankment and control the compaction.
Unconventional was also a solution to protect przeciwfiltracyjnego embankment dam in the form of a screen made of concrete slabs by “na mokro” on the upstream embankment dam.
Flysch substrate with a very large inflow of waste water, a large range of weathering and local tectonic disturbances, created a foundation pit difficulties with objects related to the firewall and require a large range of seals.
