The monastery and the church were founded by the Tarnowski family Wiślica foundation act of 29 June 1676 year. In August 1706 new year, brick church with altars consecrated bishop of Krakow Stanislaw Franciszek Biegański. The overall interior of the church was completed only in his. 1782. On the night of 5 in 6 June 1862 there is a fire, which seriously destroyed the monastery and the adjoining buildings. The fire penetrated into the interior of the church, consumed the bodies, benches, singed altars and the pulpit, a wonderful image for renovation transferred to the Palace Tarnowski. 7 September 1872 r. re-painting of the Holy Family moved to the church. The present appearance of the church Ltd.. Dominican owes John Sasowi-Zubrzyckiemu.
