Sandomierz – town and municipality in Świętokrzyskie, in the district of Sandomierz, located on the Vistula River (268,5 miles from its source and 673,7 miles from its mouth to the Baltic Sea).
Sandomierz on seven hills (hence the city is sometimes called "Little Rome"), on the border of Sandomierz Upland. The industrial part of the city, called Nadbrzeziem, lies on the right bank of the Vistula, in the Sandomierz Basin, bordered by Tarnobrzeg.
Through the city hiking trails: cysterski, St.. James, Via Jagiellonica and Wooden Architecture.
Sandomierz historically is situated in Lesser Poland, former principal city of Sandomierz. Then Sandomierz province. He was a royal city of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom.
