Zuberec – Museum of Orava Village

Museum of Orava Village (Chat. Museum of Orava Village) – museum and museum located on Glade Brestová, about 3 km east of Zuberec, the road to Zwierówki, at the mouth of the Valley Zuberska. The museum, whose foundation stone was laid in 1967 year, was situated since then dozens of architectural objects, in this rustic cottage folk, religious buildings, gentry manor houses and outbuildings. The museum occupies an area 20 has.
Skansen is divided into several parts, three of which are major market dolnoorawski, zamagurska street and highland hut. The highest point of the museum, a symbolic rural cemetery with the original crosses and tombstones from various villages and a wooden church dedicated to St.. Elizabeth. Above the stream flowing through the museum Cold Water Orava located workshops such as mill, Tartak Czy swim to meet.
All located in the museum buildings originally were scattered throughout the Orava. Most of them were purchased, dismantled, transported to the museum and re-assembled. Some are reconstructions.
