The monastery and the church were founded by the Tarnowski family Wiślica foundation act of 29 June 1676 year. On the night of 5 in 6 June 1862 there is a fire, which seriously destroyed the monastery and the adjoining buildings. The fire penetrated into the interior of the church, consumed the bodies, benches, singed altars and the pulpit, a wonderful image for renovation transferred to the Palace Tarnowski. 7 September 1872 r. re-painting of the Holy Family moved to the church. The present appearance of the church Ltd.. Dominican owes John Sasowi-Zubrzyckiemu. Under his leadership, the 1909 r. there was expansion of the object. 15 September 1914 during the fighting front knocked out windows and damaged roofs church. In 1915 Austrian soldiers destroyed the choir, organ, vaults and altars. Between 31 a house 3 Oct. image was hidden from destruction by Zdzislaw Tarnowski.
